So I did some more digging. Looks like to fully get this thing going these are the steps
1. Flash MS41.2 Full ROM
2. Flash MS41.2 Partial ROM (Not sure if I need to but will do for good measure)
3. Change Fuel tables, knock tables and ignition tables if you have a 2.8L (M52) (This may not be needed if you plan to just tune the tables)

Next steps are if you need to change the DME from Auto to Manual or vise versa
5. Plug DME into a Manual car and sync the EWS with it (EWS stores the setting for Automatic/Manual trans and sync will set it)
6. reset adaptations with INPA so that the DME will think it is for a Manual. (INPA->Engine->Errors->Adaptations)
7. Start the car hopefully after deleting stuff like EWS

So I have been busy but I have an update for what it is worth. I was able to Flash a MS41.1 DME to 41.2 using the Quick flash tool. I change Bit 8 to 148 and was able to get my S52 fired up in my E30. I am going to try and get to steps 5 and 6 but the car will fire up by just flashing MS41.2 and deleting EWS.
