I'm happy to try. I am currently running ms41.1 on my track car with only emissions and ews deleted. I havent verified but I believe my vss is off by 5.33 because the engine is in a 92 318i which i think uses the differential speed sensor vs abs.
I have a wideband AFF gauge which should help with logging
Here is my stock file [accidentally deleted your file. thought we would've needed to start with the 256KB version.]

OK I will get the 256 file tomorrow but it's just a stock US m52b28. I have rebuilt fuel injectors I can install tomorrow as well.

mrf582 wrote: Yeah, sorry long day. I don't actually need your 256kb No problem! I'm happy to help any way I can, just let me know what you need from me. The car is currently straight piped but I have a stock exhaust/intake I can install for testing. Also, once we perfect the stock 2.8 ms41.2, I intend to perfect a m50 manifold/s52 cam version as well.

Quick question. I'm starting to make my own 2.8 ms41.2 file. Do I need to change the fuel/timing axis as well as the columns in the fuel and timing maps?

Yeah I figured it out after spending a couple days familiarizing myself with romraider and the defined maps. I made a couple partial bins that I am trying out using ms41.1 fuel, timing, accel, and knock maps. I left decel and VANOS alone. I'll let you know how it goes.

I don't want to spam in this thread, but this may be relevant to some.
In the first post, as in the topic, it is spoken about converting 41.1 to 41.2. Is there any hardware differences between these two and 41.0? I know that 41.1 is considered the 'US version' although EU 323ti from 1999 had these ecu`s. The 1999 41.1 version (at least the one I have) has 1 pre-cat o2, while 1998 41.0 have two, which is just configuration, that can be changed in software. Also the .1 has obd2 connection (which does not work properly), higher emission standards and MIGHT have different ews system versions.
So can anyone verify the possible differences in hardware, that may lead to some(ews) or full(engine) incompatibility with .2 sw version on .0 hardware?

I've attached a spreadsheet that details the difference in pinouts between MS41.0 and MS41.1/2 ECUs. What's interesting is there are some pins that are inputs on MS41.0, but listed as outputs on MS41.1/2. There are also variations between signal inputs/grounds. This compiled directly from ETMs. The main differences that i know of between MS41.0 and 41.1/2 are: - MS41.0 is not OBDII compliant. If you convert to 41.1/2 and want OBD, you'll need to wire in a port (i did direct to DME) and also modify your diagnostic port cap in order for it to function. - All engines that ran MS41.0 have front mounted CPS sensors just like the M50 based engines. US based cars ran the rear mounted CPS with the trigger wheel inside the crank case. This can result is misfires being incorrectly registered. - MS41.0 came in various O2 configurations, just like MS41.1/2. My MS41.0 equipped donor car had 2 pre-cat O2s and no post-cat O2s. - All MS41.1/2 came with SAP, fuel tank pressure sensors,

I thought it would be good to branch out 41.0 conversion thread, when I realized that there already is a thread for that. So sorry, this one was not the best place for my post. For other tunnel vision'ers - HERE is 41.0 to 41.2 conversion thread!
