Hello.
Did someone manage to force vanos to be on when braking the engine?
I introduced all the possibilities in the maps but always in deceleration vanos is off.It follows that there must be a switch or map that enforces this behavior.
I control the exhaust vanos from the muffler flap map and it's ok there.Turns on and off as I want.
With vanos intake I can not control it, always off when deceleration.
Please help.

For better performance,engine noise etc
I have long duration cams and vanos advance over 40 deg.
.It makes no sense to work on / off all the time when i push or release gas pedal.

i was wondering the same. Vanos works so rapid that it seems useless. I cant notice it switching on/off when i release and floor the gas pedal

What might help is a vanos rebuild kit (New seals) , and a anti ratle kit to reduce engine noise

If you have a serial engine then you probably won't notice the difference. In my engine is double vanos from m54.Its not on/off factory.

The devil is in the details ... :)

Are you running N/A or turbo? if N/A can you post some logs? Whats your cams and engine setup? btw are you using full 40 degree advance on double vanos INTAKE CAM?
