Apologize if this info is already well known. It is not well published.

Can the Secondary Air Pump and associated bits be completely be removed from an MS43?
What all needs to be done from a hardware perspective?
What all needs to be done to the *.bin file in RomRaider?

Thanks,
Shek

Yes of course!

There are config switches in the calibration that tell the ecu what hardware is present. You´re looking for c_conf_sap=0 and c_conf_sav_diag=0

Hardware-wise, unplug the SAP and retrofit the parts from a car without the SAP, its a block-off plate and a screw with different length to separate bank1 and bank2. part# can be found online.

Hmm, that's a lot more straightforward than MS41, haha. Thanks guys. I'll check it after this is added to RR. :D

That's the advantage to BMW using the same software worldwide. They have to make configuration switches for various emissions equipment.

Hmm, I haven't yet found a way to do it this way in the MS41 code. It was simpler (from an ECU analysis POV) to just kind of brute force it a bit. Maybe things weren't as standardized internal to BMW back then?

Yeah I don't think it was as standardized back then. I think only MS41.1 and 41.2 cars got the SAP
