Hello, I have a few ROMs from various Hyundai Tiburons that I'm trying to make a definition for. Well, really just one version of ROM.

It uses an Infineon Tricore C167-CR processor
And the memory it uses is a 4-bit unit by P/N 29F400BB
Data sheets for both of those are easily found online, but I don't know how necessary it is to go through them?

My issues has been that I don't know how to start! I'm not sure if I should be decompiling the ROM in something like IDA and following the calls and jumps in order to find map data, or if I should be loading it in wols and figuring out the suggested maps that way.

If someone smarter than me has messed with this kind of processor before, or can at least point me in the right direction on where to start, that would be fantastic as I have already spent many days wandering aimlessly through the ROM.

I have learned that an Ignition Timing map of some sort can be found at 9D4C in the file, but I don't know what the proper steps are to further make sense of it either.
If it helps, I do have a stock file and re-flashed file of a France ECU which can be used for comparison.
I may have some more helpful information, but I'm not sure without the proper questions being asked.

Thank you,

Kyle M.
