Does anyone have a method of sniffing OBD traffic? Unfortunately, my tool I use to flash MS45 has a box that sits in between my laptop and the car so sniffing my USB ports is useless. I need to sniff between the box and OBD port.

I use:
1) a VAGCOM-KKL cable with Putty on Windows (or screen on Linux)
2) Tactrix Openport 2.0 cable with the klogger application provided in the samples folder of the EcuFlash software.
3) in a few rare cases an ELM based cable can be useful when configured via command line and in monitor mode.

Are you using an OBD port splitter in this scenario?

Yes, a Y-cable. Or whatever you need to access the comms line.
