Try the Innovate MTS Plugin rather than the Innovate AFR. Set your COM port in the plugin menu first.

Hi, thanks for the reply im going on and I can see com port in the top where I'm selecting my com port (4), I'm then going to the plug in drop down and select innovate MTS. I've then gone to external sensors and selected innovate MTS LC2 CH0, and I'm getting 0 values that don't change. Is there something I'm missing?

Shutdown RR, delete the rr_system.log, restart RR. In the Help menu set the Logging to DEBUG. On menu bar uncheck ECU & TCU boxes, then select the MTS LC2 CH0 item, log for a moment with your engine running and reset the Logging to INFO.
Attach the rr_system.log here.

Im not currently working with this on a car, i been trying a few things over the last few days and i have managed to get it work twice but i have no idea how, just tried loading rom raider alot of times and it worked about 2 out of 40 times. is this issue because im not actually connected to an ECU? i have attached my latest rom file with this not working, in the way mentioned above, TIA

All your logs show:
Innovate Wideband AFR: connect error
Port is currently in use: COM4

So you still have that defined and selected which will conflict with the Innovate MTS settings.

The WB will read 0 if there's no ECU connection. That's why you need to uncheck the ECU&TCU boxes. Then only the WB will be read.

You don't need to, just don't select the Innovate Wideband AFR logger item and it won't try and connect.
If you really want to delete it, do so in the settings.xml file.

The plugin loads and finds your LC2 upon startup
Code:
13812 INFO  [main] - Innovate MTS: found 1 ports, COM4
14609 INFO  [main] - Innovate MTS: current port [0]: COM4
15250 INFO  [main] - Innovate MTS: found 1 inputs.
15250 DEBUG [main] - Innovate MTS: InputNo: 00, InputName: LC_2_O2, InputType: 1, DeviceName: LC-2, DeviceType: 28, DeviceChannel: 0, Units: AFR, Multiplier: 14.700000, MinValue: 7.350000, MaxValue: 22.388100
15266 INFO  [main] - Plugin loaded: Innovate MTS v0.06

It looks like the Logger is trying to connect with the ECU on COM4 and that takes over the COM port from the MTS plugin.
Make sure your Openport 2 is connected.
Stop the Logger (Disconnect button) once loaded. Uncheck the ECU box and the bar at the both right should switch to Externals:
Confirm in the Plugin menu your MTS is COM4 with 1 sensor.
Then select that item in the Externals tab to log.
