07 Impreza 2.5 NA Not Logging

I'm trying to log my sons 07 with RR v0.7.2, downloaded all the latest ecu_def.xml and logger_std_en_v362.xml. I've got a K-Line USB FTDI cable for now before I buy a Tactrix so I can flash

I got a 2007 2.5i AT.hex and since RR wouldn't read in with the ecu_def.xml files, I found a RR_E2UG001l.xml and RR pulls up the maps etc now.

I went to the logger, set the definition file to logger_std_en_v362.xml. The COM PORT on the logger lists COM3 and that matches the port in the device manager.

I get no connection in the logger window, CAT ID Unlown and ECU ID Unknown Do i need to change something in the Communication Setting Window? (attached)

I confirmed through Torque and a bluetooth adapter the calibration ID is E2UG001L 33092304

All the log shows is nothing is responding to queries made through COM3.

Right...is there another type of log to take for more info?

It won't connect...I assume the latest logger file reads a 07 Impreza NA?

The Logger doesn't care about the make/model of the car. It just needs to know what logging protocol to use on what communications path. SSM K-line (the default) should be fine on serial or an Openport cable.

Next question, is your cable compatible with KKL communications? Some cheap or counterfeit cables don't work.

Well it was supposed to. I guess I'll have to buy a Tactrix Openport 2.0

Was trying to avoid spending extra money before I know if this car is salvageable. Son's car is a Ej20 swapped car running off a Ej25 ECU. He bought it and it came home in limp mode due to the AVCS sensors not being there...go figure. It had some codes but we figured we could replace the sensor and move on. After investigation, we found the EJ20 motor install. Wanted to see what was in the ECU before I go down any further paths.

Can you confirm that a 2007 Impreza 2.5 NA with ECU Calibration Code E2UG001L will the Latest Tactrix 2.0 cable allow me to log and flash the ECU?
