When i open my logger there is no menu bar at the top of my screen. So im not able to direct where to send the save files or even close it without showing all desktops and exiting from there. How do i correct this?

Did you open with fullscreen or touchscreen enabled?

I used my icon pinned to task bar so I believe threw full screen but the laptop does have touchscreen. Which can be used at anytime, as in the screen doesn't have to folded over for tablet mode.

Fullscreen has no menu bar you need to use keyboard shortcuts.
Try launching regular or touch screen mode.
