Hello,
I have a 2014 Outback 2.5 CVT and I can't seem to communicate with it at all with a k-line vag com cable. RomRaider logger and EcuFlash don't get any response, even tried FreeSSM and it doesn't work either. I have a OBDLink MX+ and that communicates fine over CAN but can't get the k-line link to work. Has anyone successfully communicated with a 2014 Outback 2.5? The k-line seems to be high at 9V all the time, ignition off and ignition in the on position (engine off). The service manual I have says it should be below 5V with ignition on but all the k-line documentation I found online says it is supposed to idle high so that is confusing. Also seems a little strange that it is at 9V and not ~12V like the other battery voltage. I tried the 1k ohm resistor to ground and it only went down to ~2.5V not 0V so not sure if that is correct. Maybe something is wrong with my k-line bus?

Any help would be greatly apricated! I am just trying to log data to diagnose a P0420 error not reflash the rom.

Thanks.

Bought a Tactrix cable and was able to communicate, I think the problem is with definitions now sadly. :(
