I'm trying to use RomRaider's Logger to log data from my '12 Toyota GT86's ECU, using a Tactrix OpenPort 2.0. I am successfully able to read and edit the car's ECU using ECUFlash. Therefore I do not believe this is a driver issue for the OpenPort 2.0. My laptop is running Windows 10 64-bit.
When using the logger, I get the error "Unable to send ECU init" on all logging protocols except OBD>CAN, which I believe is the correct protocol for the GT86/BRZ. If I do not select any data to log, RomRaider states it is "Reading Data". However, if I click the check box for any data to log, it starts to flicker between "Reading Data" and "Connecting...". At the same time "Reading Data" is displayed, the bottom-left status text (that would say 'connecting to ecu' etc.) in red text states "Error: java.lang.sx". all of the data remains at 0, and therefore no logging can occur.
I have found no mention of this error, either here or searching with Google, and therefore I have no idea what to do being unfamiliar with java programming.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled, restarted my laptop, tried both USB ports, uninstalled and reinstalled ECUFlash just in case, the only thing I haven't done is try to reinstall Java - but i had no prior installations of Java before installing RomRaider. Having the engine running or not makes no difference.
Does anyone have any ideas or recommendations as to how I can get the logger working?

it's not really a java error, as far as I know there's no support in romraider for the BRZ you have to log it with SDLogging on the openport or some other 3rd party software.
