This has been driving me nuts for a very long time and haven't been able to come up with a solid conclusion as to what causes it.

where is this post to delete the rev hang?

After playing around a bit I've found the best way of sorting the rev hang is to lower the parameters in the 'Fast_decreasing_tps' maps. Basically you want to engage fast decreasing tps mode sooner.
