Tried an experiment of desoldering that chip and supplying just a hall cam sensor (we have one in m52tu & m54) signal input - the car runs perfect! But there also occured a side effect - car does not starts when crank ps is disconnected.
So my guess is some alterations to the code should be made either..
Cam sensor need only to differentiate crank rotations to be able to do sequential injection and ignition timing - to be able to work as second timing sensor in case of failing crank sensor there have to be much more accuracy.
