Hey everyone, I'm trying to connect to my '96 328i without any success.

I've tried using MS41 Quickflash and RomRaider Logger, but no succsess with bouth programms.

Here some facts:
ECU: MS41.0 Index 09
20 Pin to OBD: Some Aliexpress cable, but checked all connections twice (See Picture attached) also connected PIN 14 to 18
VAG-COM Cable: One from Aliexpress, but checked the CHIP and its a FTDI FT232RL Chip (See Picture attached).
First I thought maybe its the cable so I bought a second one on ebay...no succsess (https://www.ebay.com/itm/182285443007)
Driver: CDM-v2.12.36.20-WHQL-Certified from the Link provided in the OpenMS41 side. Also change COM Port to COM1
RomRaider: RomRaider 1.0.0 (2023–12–01)
MS41 Quickflash: v2.85 - The cable gets detected by the software.

I've also checked the power and grounds on the 20-pin connector; they all seem correct.

Has anyone had a similar issue? What could be wrong?

I'm running out of hope after trying to figure it out for days.

Thank you!

EDIT:

I've figured out what caused this issue.
When measuring the K-Line with the multimeter, I found that it was at 1.3 V, whereas it should have been around 10–11 V. Afterwards, I removed Pin 17 on X20, which connects the K-Line to the interior of the car, and voilà, it's working!

I then reconnected it and unplugged all the ECUs until it worked. In the end, I found out that the ABS/ASC ECU was preventing the K-Line from working.

Hopefully this will help someone with the same issue.
