Hi brotha,

Do you have OBD2 port inside the car or are you connecting using 20-pin connector under the bonnet?
Most of the time connection issues using 20-pin connector with engine running are related to ignition system. Try to get any data from MS40/MS40.1 ECUs with running engine - those does not want to communicate even with INPA, even using real genuine ICOM :D

It's hard to tell from the log, but it seems like the COM port is going away. That could be vibration (bad USB connection) or grounding (a ground loop).

I have watched one of pazi's videos on YouTube and he advises to use the obd2 port inside the car, or to wire one inside the car if you haven't got one.

He mentioned the coil packs messing up the connection..

Alternatively, you can just buy a cheap flat wire OBD extension cable from e... about 900mm length and the run it through the hood gap near the windshield and into the cabin at the door. Then you can connect ur USB dongle inside the car and there is no problem with electromagentic interference from the coild.

Worked for me at least as I was too lazy to re-wire the inside of my EWS module to add an OBD port inside..

What does a fresh rr_system.log look like in the cab?

Gotta make sure the green and blue wire got constant 12v under diag cap and bridge the two white and purple wires in there too

PROBLEM SOLVED. I've checked k+dcan cable pinout (4,5-ground / 7-K-Line / 16-Power 12v) after that checked ms41.0 pinout then i found K-Line at pin 88 (white-purple cable). After that directly rewired 1 wire from ms41.0 k-line pin(88) in to the glove box. Power from inside car which is direct from battery comes in to the ecu box under the hood, ground from chassis. Soldered maked male obd adapter. And boom it works well without problem im logging resetting ecu and etc. Under the hood at diagnostic round connector i jumpered pin 14-18 for ecu flash from inside the car. Its so comfortable logging, editing and flashing at inside car. Thank a million, guys for everything. U'r awesome !

Ps. Its M52B28(donor was E36 1997 Auto) swapped 1995 BMW E34 520i Manual.
