Hi, I have a problem when I try to log data. When i launch the logger, (with the car ignition on), the word “Recording data” appeared with the green point. I cani see all the parameters such as air temperature, spark timing etc… When i click on one of the parameter such as “battery voltage” to see if i’m reading correct values, the output value is zero and instead of “Recordimg data”, the word “connecting” appeard with the blue point. It seems like the ecu disconnect when select a parameter. Could someone help me please? Thank you in advance

yes you need to choose the list of things you want to log then start recording. if you do it that way around what happens?

Thank you for the reply, I attached three screenshots to explain what happens when I select some parameters to log. When I turn the ignition ON it says "select parameter to be logged...". But when I select some parameters it says "Error.Java...." and after few seconds "send ECU init: COM3" and then again "Error.java..." and it continues. If I start recording, the Excel file seems to have all the parameters that i selected but without any values logged.

and whats in the romraider log? it will usually tell you why the ECU disconnected. Most likely guess will be cable or a definitions problem.

Sorry I’m not an expert with romraider, what do you mean with “whats in the romraider log?”. I read, modify and flash the ECU correctly, and so I don’t think that the problem is the cable. Thank you!

romraider has a log of itself incase things are going to plan. look on the menu "help" then "debugging leve..." then "open debug log location ..." in there you'll see the RR_system.log.
Firstly delete the log, restart romraider logger and try logging again, then close romraider logger - zip up the rr_system.log and post it up here.

OK so you're missing some files - "No cars_def.xml file found, possible missing DTD issue" - even though you dont need it, its still worth having it in the setup you can get it from the "Download" page ( https://www.romraider.com/index.php/RomRaider/Download) you can also try putting all your romraider logger files in one folder instead of having bits on your desktop and in other places, then change the permissions on the folder so that everyone has full access, sometimes if there's a permissions error you'll get strange results. what kind of cable specifically are you using, the only other thing that stands out in the log is the disconnection after the ECU is asked for a value then it has trouble reconnecting. Do you have access to an openport cable to try with instead of a serial cable?

Do you have access to an openport cable to try with instead of a serial cable? I downloaded the files inside the link you provided me and it works! Now the logger works, but I still have a problem with the lambda parameters LTFT and STFT (file attached); they always remain zero. However thank you very much because you solved the problem.

check the o2 sensor readings and check for fault codes, could be some other reason the trims haven't moved yet.
