Hi, I have a problem: - updates the driver to the latest version of WINKFP; - after which I make a full JMGarageFlasher reading - then using Romraider with definitions v0.40 I am removing EWS, CHK and other things like probes - I upload a full reading to the controller BUT the car fires but does not respond to the gas pedal, error 169 in INPA, the cruise control does not work, what am I doing wrong?

Don't upload bin with garage flasher without correcting checksum. It will lead to errors.

I replaced v0.39 with v0.41 in the usual folder, and Romraider wouldn't even open the bin file anymore. It says "Ecu def missing".

For some reason I thought as long as the new ECU def was in the same folder as the old one no other change was required. I had been using 0.39 all the way so I kind of forgot about this simple step lol. It's working now

How do I go about correcting checksums before flashing with jmgarage? Cheers It should work. But still I would recommend using mss5x flash tool or the MS4X Dev Group Flasher. Those remove the extra steps required for checksum correction and reduce the possibility of errors. I only use jmgarage flasher as a backup, if I manage to ruin the ecu.

Can anybody help me? You need to be more specific of what you want to add, before we can help.

I know which hexa values are responsible for this, and after this the ews "abgleich" works with the official software. Of course its not a big deal to do it with a hex editor, but it this wonderful app is here, should be good to use it. I know if you set it off (FF) once, its not possible to bring back the original values.. but i guess its not a problem for anybody.

For enable/disable switch you need to know the values to replace. And because ISN is different every time, it's no can do. You can of course put isn to map and to virginize just write the map full of 255

Is there a way to log knock correction degrees? That was a helpful tuning tool on the e36.
