All

I have a US 2002 year e46 M3. I had it dealer flashed last year.

The version 2 ECU def loaded it and it confirmed the mods I made to it based on knowledge gained from the now eliminated M3forums thread. These were simple mods tho, like RPM limit and Shift light. I can compare throttle maps as well, but believe this is all working fine and if I ever tried to flash from a RR mod I would compare the files using Hexfiend to ensure the changes were limited.

Nevertheless this is encouraging.

I did tune my 98 US S52 to good performance for the track using these tools, the logger being important of course.

One question I have is the "exceptions or errors" at load RR asserts, is that a SW anomaly or something real?

Like I said I can do a file compare but know that there are differences in HW between US and EURO S54 implementations such as close cats. Otherwise I just need to understand the "relative filling" paradigm vs. the 98 M3 constructs.
