Hi everyone,

I have an 2012 Xterra Manual but it came configured with an automatic ECU. it is possible to reflash the ECU for manual? according to Nissan website (https://parts.nissanusa.com/p/Nissan__/ ... 9BE0A.html) the ECU is compatible with both manual and automatic...

it works and runs but... i feel how it deacelerates for a second trying to engage the automatic speed shift.

Xterra: 2012 Manual Offroad.
ECU: 23710-9BE0A
VIN: 5N1AN0NW8CC510145

according to an expert in parts form an Xterra group my car should have a different ECU: 23710-9BE2A... just changes the 2A instead 0A... so I think is same hardware just diferent firmware so I want to try donlwad a ROM from the 23710-9BE2A and see if that fixes the problem..

what do you think?

thank you all!.

Yes you should be able to, find the ROM file that is for that year but a manual version and flash that. If its from an older or newer model be weary, verify they use the same kernel.
i'm no expert so take this with a grain of salt but my 350Z is running on a g35 ecu so some variance is acceptable.

Yes, firmware 9BE2A manual transmission. Although your existing firmware 9BE0A can also be switched to MT.

Thanks for your answers! I reflashed the ECU with the right firmware and it works! Now I have my Xterra running smooth, no check engine, and cruse control working!

I don't have my ECU definitions for romrider, so I just reflashed the ECU with 9BE2A.

I learned a lot, how to get the Immobilizer pin to reprogram keys, change vin and obviously how to flash and backup nissan ECUs and I found a very big database with Nissan ROMs, so if you need any let me know!

I hope learn more specially romrider!
thanks!
