2003 Infiniti G35 BIN Need Definition!

Hello guys, I have successfully downloaded and reflashed this bin to my ECU using a Tactrix 1.3 cable.

If anyone is able to make me a definition for this, I will release all the information about how to flash these vehicles... I need a definition though first! Any help would be appreciated

Can you provide more info about the make/model of the ECU and the processor that it contains?
And some hits as to the Calibration ID, ROM ID?
Does it support a communications protocol other than ODB-II?

Looks like an SH7055 from the quick glance I've had.

Yes you are corect it is a SH7055.

The only calibration id I can pull from the nissan software is this:

ECU PART NUMBER 23710-AM604
SOFTWARE VERSION 0x00

I hope together we can finally opensource tune nissans.

I'm going to try to get a few more rom dumps from other nissan's to help aid in this.

Also uprev the only company that has successfully flashed these ecu's realtime, shows the fuel map is 8x8 if that helps. here is a copy of the fuel map 8x8

lets figure this out so us nissan people don't have to pay $700 to tune our cars!

I used CONSULT II protocol to do a rom dump... And will used j2534 to upload the new rom.. I'm sure we can figure a better way but so far this works.

I'm going to download a few other roms this weekend from various other nissans to see whats different if this helps

Okay I got to download a 2003 350Z map and a buddy sent me the address file for this car that unlocks a lot of areas but it seems like the G35 is a bit different and I could use your guys help in finding the right address areas for the G35 rom.

I also need help finding the MAF translation table for both maps.

Here is the 350Z bin and the XML just put it in your openecu rommetadata folder and it will open right up
So lets get it copied so we can flash the G35's!

Are you referring to the Air flow table, as in what are the units of the table?

Engines are 100% the same

The G35 is a USDM model with AUTOMATIC transmission. The 350z is a JDM bin and is MANUAL TRANS, none of the addresses match.. I need definitions for it.

I'm getting a USDM Manual Trans bin tomorrow to see what's different.

My guess is the bin is a little different due to all the emissions crap in US?

The bin's are different due to another approach to the code structure.
350z.bin is more recent, contains a primary kernel loader and may be rewritten safely thru OBD.
This seems to be the next ecu generation.
Both of them can be rewritten in SHbootmode.
The ecu control code structure is similar.

Makes sense! I pulled the ECM out today and it is the old style ecm with gray plug. the newer nissans use a black plug and that is what the 350z.bin uses. This probably explains why nissan hasnt released a J2534 for the 03 G35 but 04+ Which has new ECM does have a J2534 tool

I'm going to get a few more bins today off a few cars but it is looking good so far!

Heres a 2004 USDM G35 Coupe 6 Speed MT bin. This car is marketed as a Skyline Coupe I believe in other markets

Hopefully we can compare these bins and get this going. I have successfully downloaded and flashed same bin via openport 1.3b cable.
