Hi again,

I have edited my rom and saved it. When I try to dryrun in nisprog it give me an error: bad response @ 8500 : post-write verify failed. Is this a checksum related issue or timing?

I already figured this out. It only failed when doing dry run, but when actually flashing the rom it is successful.

Just retarded the ignition for pops and bangs

Yea I’d presume the post write verify fails because you didn’t actually write anything to it during the dry run.

Pretty sure nisprog prints out this message just before doing the practice run:
Code:
...reflashing selected blocks (dry run). Note, some (harmless) write verification errors WILL occur if there are "modified blocks" ! (i.e. ROM file differs from ECU ROM)

I'm not sure how to make that message clearer... I'm open to suggestions

Fenugrec,

Yes that's correct. I've seen that, but I was so scared that it might be a different error as I am completely new with doing Nissan stuff and wanted to be sure that I dont brick the ecu.

Thanks for the wonderful work you guys have contributed to this open source tuning.
