Hello everyone.

Does anyone know the table that controls the closed loop cam timing?

I want to increase the overlap when idling and let the racing car idle.

If anyone knows, please help.

I would assume that this would be handled by the normal intake cam timing map. So just try adjusting the values within the idling regions of the map. There isn't any known distinction between closed loop vs open loop fueling for cam timing logic.

Thank you for your reply.

There are some changes in the normal table, but it seems that idling correction is done and it does not come to the specified timing.

Is it difficult to adjust by rewriting?

It depends on your variable valve timing system. Z’s use hydraulic systems that are fully controllable across the entire rev range while certain vehicles (Stagea) uses magnetic systems that are a advance once and taper off system. So magnetic ones would presumably struggle with controllability across the board. Haven’t had issues advancing cam timing at idle for CF48D. You’ve gotta drive a tiny bit after a reflash tho.

Thank you for your reply.

I learned a lot.

I've tried various methods, but I can't find a good one.

The car model is different, but I want to let it idle like the video. Is there a good way?

I long for idling like a racing car.

Even though I’ve mentioned it elsewhere, I’ll mention it here as well. So far, there’s at least ONE lower limit vehicle speed of 2mph for VVT operation. So as of right now, you cannot control the cam timing at idle due to this limit.
