Ok iv been messing around with a few ecus trying to figure out what changed between the 2 models of ecu turns out the hardware is totaly the same except for 3 removed bridge resistors and a caps i compaired the usdm wrx ecu from an 02 wrx
I think it may be posible to hardware disable imoblizer And convert rear cam pickups for avcs from a 3 wire sensor to a 2 wire all i need is some one with a usdm 04 sti ecu to send pics of the pcb so i can confirm the hardware removal of the imoblizer In box me ill post my findings soon and pics with a list of parts

Ecu model number is 112031-7070
Ok here is a short list On the v7 ecu i found vs the v9 04 ecu C829 missing Ic604 C621 J802
On the v9 u do this to make ot match the v7 ecu hardware Move j801 jumper to j802 Add a 100smt resistor to r943 Remove C829 Ic604 C621 move j404 to j403 move j402 to j401 move j405 to j409 move j408 to j406
After u do that use a brick ecu recovery circut to reflash a v7 sti map on the ecu should be hardware identical from what i looked at compairing the 2 ecus i think the imoblizer code is stored in ic604 i need confermation tho if the ic is present in a usdm 04 sti ecu if it is a dump of ic604 whould be nice to compare data between the 2 ecus
worst case if i cant get ecu to read on ecu flash ill swap a cpu ic from a usdm wrx to the v9 ecu if i cant get the imoblizer system to bypass so i can program the ecu
Keep me posted if u guys find any more diffrences

intresting update guys ok got my hands on a extra wrx ecu managed to swap the cpu with rom from the v9 jdm ecu to a 02 wrx ecu and pluged my tatrix cable up to it and i got com from the ecu i was able to get the fuel pump to prime so thst tells me the cpu is not locked on imoblizer models so i figure theres a jumper or another ic on the pcb that makes car not prime the fuel pump if im correct that means it may be posible to disable the imoblizer on ecus that are equips with it
wondering any one got the fuel pump and main relay circut pinout leads for the 05 jdm hawkeye sti wondering if thay moved the pin location with the junper aray thay got on under side of ecu
