Hi!
So my FXT has been running happy for quite a while now, but then one day it decided it was time to build pressure, temp go into the red, and push out coolant into the reservoir.
So I had the coolant checked for gases and there is both HC and CO present = head gasket leaking pressure into the water.
The thing is the car still works fine, when I drive slow and calm the coolant is no issue and neither is the temperature. It's after a couple of fun wot's that the coolant/overheating issue happens. Usually I can do 10 good wots before I notice the temp rises.
So... the leak is probably very very small...
I found this product when googling: Subaru Coolant Conditioner
http://www.scoobyenthusiast.com/subaru- ... soa635071/Subaru Sweden do not sell this product.
Would you guys try pouring this "sealant" into the coolant and see if that helps, or is that a waste of time and just start saving up for that engine rehaul?
Has anyone here used this additive on a car that is tuned? Would it be harmful for any other components?
Car has 110,000 km on it and runs well... except for that annoying overheating issue.
