my vehicls isn't listed in ecuflash. is this gonna be a problem for me? I tried to find the definition from GitHub but it looks to be in code and I don't know how to make it a xml file..... my vehicle is a 2005 usdm legacy 2.5i mt. I just wanna get this cel code off.if anyone has a map with the p0420 code or the definition file that would be great

Gonna do my first hookup tomorrow after work..... any tips for a first time user or direction as to what I need to pull to get some advice?? Been getting nothing bit crickets here and lgt forum.

You and me both - from my looking into this I am still at a brick wall .The Legacy models are not very popular and so are limited in the information .

I have a few issues and am hoping I can resolve them over time .I was able to connect to my earlier Legacy being 2001 GX 2,5 using the Vagcom cable .A number of previously purchased cables and wireless units did not support the K-line .Yours is probably easier but again Legacy's are few and far between .(My early Legacy has been a bit of an oddball to compare notes and experience.)

I did find a Russian forum site where one gives a donation and they will do an xml based on your .bin file .I have not ventured down that road yet but they appear to be on the ball .

to get the .bin file you can try the following :
1-ECUmem (There are three versions-I used ECUmem2 and it worked for me )
2-ECUexplorer
3-RomRaider/Enginuity
4-ECUflash
5-Freessm
6-EvoScan could work for you and they may even have xml maps as part of their dongal sales .

I did find some useful information on conversion sites that use Subaru EJ25xx engines in VW combi and other chassis .

I have no experience in flashing yet due to no xML but perhaps one of these fine days .
