During my first Subaru conversion I´ve learned a lot, and I still do. One thing thats really bugging me is the fact, that I have no easy way to communicate to the TCU used in my EZ30D conversion via OBD2 K-Line for diag purposes.

According to the wiring diagram it uses the old RX/TX comms with two separate pins for the Select Monitor. Later on, Subaru changed the setup and the TCU hooks up to K-Line on OBD2, like the ECU does. So I could read that with RomRaider or FreeSSM.

Does anyone know when this has been changed? Tried to hook up K-Line to the designated pin in later diagrams, which is also now one of the RX/TX-pins.
For the 2001 version the schematic states:

TCU B7 --> OBD pin 4 (respectively pin 13, as Subaru rotates the plug)
TCU B16 --> OBD pin 5 (pin 12)

For the 2002 version the schematic states:

TCU B7 --> OBD pin 10 (which is pin 7 and therefore K-Line!)
TCU B16 isn´t occupied.

Any chance to trigger a 2001ish TCU to work with K-Line or would it be possible to swap to a K-line version?
