Hi, I decided to ask for advice on what to do? i put h6 from legacy BLE (avcs and so on) into forester sh originally Diesel, everything works fine except revs on dash, used wrx combination meter to have temperature gauge. Problem: RPM is correct up to 2000rpm then "magic happens" when the engine reaches 2500rpm the tachometer shows 3000rpm when the engine reaches 3000rpm the tachometer shows 4000rpm when the engine reaches 5000rpm the tachometer shows 8000 rpm. I don't know what the difference is when the rev limiter is active for obvious reasons, but I'm sure you understand the problem (engine RPM read via ssm3) Tried Forester/impreza NA cluster, other cluster wrx, legacy h6 cluster RPM stepper motor in wrx cluster, needle from cluster h6. FSM for legacy, forester or impreza doesn't show any difference in resistance or voltage. I guess micro computer in combination meter for h6, processes the signal differently than h4 clusters. Before anyone suggests it, i don't want to cut the dash for the legacy h6 cluster.
Has anyone had this problem and know what to do?
Thanks in advance
