Alright, I'd like to order the wideband O2 system today. I'd like the device to be portable. I do have a laptop that I will be connecting and logging everything.

For portability, there are two main clamps I have seen. I've seen the innovate one

I've also considered
http://www.jegs.com/i/Comp-Cams/249/170 ... Id=1222658

I'm not sure what advantages the innovate offers over the comp cams one.

Then, I was unsure which wideband controller to go with. I'm leaning towards the PLX devices WBO2 controller. It says it doesn't require calibration. And a previous post of mine, someone showed how to use an audio jack and a cheap device to connect the PLX to the USB port on my laptop.

Any opinions on which of both? I'd like to stay in under $300 for the WB02 stuff. The clamp will put me mid $300 to $400.

I don't plan on mounting a gauge or anything to the WB02. I'd like to use it just for tuning peoples cars.

Thanks guys! Lots of money, I don't wanna jump into anything.

I have heard from several sources now that the AEM UEGO can be a bit flaky. I haven't found any news on whether that was improved upon or not. NSFW recommended the PLX SM-AFR, and I am thinking now that is a safe way to go. I always thought AEM UEGO would be by far the most universal, but such is not the case with RomRaider necessarily.

If anyone has an update on the UEGO flakiness, it would be great to hear.

It appears the newest revision cleaned up the flakiness. I personally am completely on the fence about what to get, however small a matter it may be.
