Dears,

I wanted to know if i can adjust the Rev limit to be from 8200 RPM to 8000 RPM for nothing but just for fun like this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... nSuPDd8Gt8

will it sound like standalone ecus?

idea to lower the rpm is for a safer run.

Ver.7 EJ207 + JDM ECU + ATP3071 + EWG + injectors...etc

Thanks for help.

Regards.

i have run an 8200 rpm redline for nearly 10 years on a stock internal ej205 engine.

i do not go up there regularly, but it does happen a couple times a year. ;)

ken, you have an 02 correct? Still shimmed or bucketless? I'm starting to get valve tick and been tossing the idea of shimless bucket conversion...

at some point during the my03 rollout they switched to shimless, so i probably have that.

though i do have the "odd rear brake calipers" which was earlier in the my03... ?

i actually plan on yanking the engine this summer to do a bunch of checks and maintenance. i think it's time for a timing belt so that's going to happen, and i will pull off the rocker covers to check lash too.

You have an SOHC WRX engine?! :P

Also, from all the ignition cut testing you did in the UTEC days and still managed to keep your motor together, yeah, I'd agree that you probably have shimless buckets.
