I have a 2004 USDM STi ECU i'm trying to recover.

I am using this diagram for SHBootMode circuit:
http://openecu.org/downloads/shbootmode.pdf

and this manual for 2004 STi ECU Pinout
http://www.northursalia.com/modifications/misc/wiring/04_STi_ECU.pdf

USB FTDI TX/RX is hooked up to the respective pins.
Watchdog is hooked up via 555 timer circuit, showing about 145Hz on my scope which should be within the 125hz-150hz range
VCC / GND on the ECU board is hooked up to VCC/GND via USB
ECU +12v / GND is powered via bench power supply, drawing about 396mA
The ECU pins I have powered are IGNITION SWITCH, CONTROL UNIT POWER SUPPLY, and GND (CONTROL SYSTEMS)

However, neither the Renesis Tooklit nor ECUFlash are working

Code:
[11:14:00.716] sending bit rate sync bytes...
[11:14:02.246] no bit rate adjust response
[11:14:02.246] interface close
[11:14:10.940] sending bit rate sync bytes...
[11:14:12.470] no bit rate adjust response
[11:14:12.470] interface close

[11:14:35.278] no bit rate adjust response
[11:14:35.278] interface close
[11:14:52.740] sending bit rate sync bytes...
[11:14:54.270] no bit rate adjust response
[11:14:54.270] interface close
[11:14:58.631] sending bit rate sync bytes...
[11:15:00.161] no bit rate adjust response
[11:15:00.161] interface close
[11:15:14.349] sending bit rate sync bytes...
[11:15:15.879] no bit rate adjust response
[11:15:15.879] interface close

Would appreciate any insight from anyone else that has done this!

If you have the car available, I always find it easier to boot with the ecu plugged into the harness.
