I have a manual 98 bmw z3 1.9 (m5.2 ecu) and I download an image from it changed the ignition timing and flashed it back on. after i flashed it back on it wouldn't start. I though it was a bad tune and after flashing on the original tune the I downloaded from the car its still wont start. Crack no start. also no check engine light once I turn ignition on. and the quick flash tool doesn't see the vin anymore.
Did this happen to any one else? Does anyone know what happen and how I can fix it?

sounds like its time for a bench read if you've lost the ability to ID the ecu/vin through OBD comms. you might get better luck in the BMW section though or from whoever made the flash tool you used.
