Hello! Experts, thanks to everyone. I want a definition or a reason why I can't open this file! I bought a car and I want to modify it. Please, can someone help me? I will attach the file for a 2001 Subaru Impreza.

your file didnt attach but if i had to guess i'd say it's probably a carberry file, if you pop over the carberry thread and grab the definitions you can try them out.

If it is already tuned then probably better to start from scratch so you know what you're working with.

Hi again, and thank you so much for your help!
Just to clarify — the current tune is working perfectly, and the car runs exactly how I want. I’m only trying to open this specific file because I’d like to make a few small adjustments. I’d really prefer not to start from scratch or create a new tune, since everything is already set up well.
I tried all the possible ways to open the file (including loading the latest ECU definitions and using different software versions), but I couldn’t get it to work.
If you could take a quick look at the file and let me know what it is, I’d really appreciate it!

Thanks again

your file is A4TE092B - which at a guess will be A4TE002B that someone has had a tinker at.

So if you create a new XML definition file in your ecuflash definitions folder called A4TE092B.xml and put this in it:
Code:
<rom>
   <romid>
      <xmlid>A4TE092B</xmlid>
      <internalidaddress>200</internalidaddress>
      <internalidstring>A4TE092B</internalidstring>
      <ecuid>2E04496005</ecuid>
      <make>Subaru</make>
      <market>JDM</market>
      <model>Impreza</model>
      <submodel>STi</submodel>
      <transmission>MT/AT</transmission>
      <year>03</year>
      <flashmethod>wrx02</flashmethod>
      <memmodel>68HC16Y5</memmodel>
   </romid>

   <include>A4TE002B</include>

   <notes>
</notes>
</rom>

that should get you in to view/edit/flash the file. I've also removed that file from your post as you didn't tune it yourself so please don't post it again.

Dear friend

Honestly, I don’t have enough words to thank you. You’re a true genius and a professional programmer in every sense. The explanation you gave regarding the A4TE092B XML file and how to include it was spot on, and everything worked exactly as you described.

Thank you so much for your time, your help, and your willingness to share your knowledge. You truly deserve all the respect and appreciation.

Wishing you all the best, and may your logs always be in your favor!

Thank you for helping me with the A4TE092B definition for ECUFlash — it works great.

I have a quick question:
If I want to open and edit the same ROM (A4TE092B) in RomRaider, how should I proceed?
Can I convert or reuse the ECUFlash definition somehow, or do I need a separate XML file specifically for RomRaider?

I’d appreciate any guidance or files you might have related to this ROM and RomRaider.

Thanks again for your support!

Best regards,

yes you can edit the romraider ECU xml file in the same fashion then romraider will be able to open the file too.
