There isn't much of a reason to FF any of the control bytes as each bit in the chunk of bytes turns something on or off. Therefore I conclude that whoever tuned it did not know what they were doing. I would start with a stock file for your car.

Hi, locked here! Just to say that i'm sorry about other thread there... Newbie to tuning stuff and to RR also..Totally agree with mrf582 on that! I'm trying to figure out how the things works in RR. I try to edit with RR my stock partial read, but no go.. So, i would like to disable both O2 and ews also, b'cause the troubles with the keys... If somebody is willing to help, I'll be happy to hear!

That's why I asked you this, to know if the guy who made this tune didn't really know what he was doing, or maybe it disable something that I don't know. Secondary O2 is deleted on the description, maybe something with the byte 6 ?

Maybe .. Lol anyway I don't do this on my car but I'm curious and I'd like to know what does that turn off/on to FF those bytes..

Good news, I tried today to 00h the byte 0x260 instead of A0. Using the RR Logger, I could see there was no addaptative or multiplicative bank %, so I can confirm it disabled o2 feedback.. I would like to know now how the delete the DTC when I unplug them ?

You shouldn't be getting a dct now. Did you even try unplugging it?

To piggyback off this thread, i have a question regarding the rear 02's. I have disabled DTC's 79,61 to code out rear 02's. I have removed both of them from the car.
My question is, does disabling these DTC's also make the ecu not "look" for them still? Meaning, do i need to mess with byte 6 still? Or does simply turning the DTC's off disable the cars ability to look for them still?
I ask because in the audi tuning world, turning the DTC off, simply only disables the check engine light, but further tuning is required to truly disable them.
Anyone following me? Help?

Disabling the DTC for Rear O2 Heater, only prevents the ECU from getting upset when there is no current draw on the heater circuit. The ECU still continues to function totally oblivious to this. It'll try to heat it up, read the voltage etc. So, if you disable the DTC for the heater circuit, you have to actually UNPLUG them electrically, or they will continue to work as normal. And if the cat is worn, it'll get bad measurements and still throw a cat efficiency code if you leave them plugged in.
Hope this clears it up.

I'm confused by the O2 DTCs.
There are 4. I would have expected there to be 1 per sensor, but instead there are 4, 2 for upstream for both banks, and 2 downstream for both banks.
If i'm running a single o2, i disable the two that are defined as "downstream". What about the upstream? Shouldnt there be a DTC disabled for the missing upstream bank o2?
