Currently trying to dial in a gtx3071r on my MY07 liberty and I think I am running into issues with rising load rich dip, see: viewtopic.php?f=40&t=7442

Is anyone able to define this for a2ug002t?

Cheers,

Cam

At a very quick glance; and for what has been done to date in OS land, these are the tables you require:

Code:
   <table name="Tau Input A Rising Load Activation A" address="caea8">
      <table name="Coolant Temperature" address="c8004"/>
      <table name="Manifold Pressure" address="cae9c"/>
   </table>

   <table name="Tau Input A Rising Load Activation B" address="caf14">
      <table name="Coolant Temperature" address="c8004"/>
      <table name="Manifold Pressure" address="caf08"/>
   </table>

Depending on the ROM and year, there's a whole lot more to this, hopefully I'll have a little more to report in the coming weeks......

Certainly looks correct!

Unfortunately I don't seem to have any multiplier in effect so possibly not my issue. :(

That is unless 1 is not a multiplier and is 1 unit of fuel? seems heavy handed but it corresponds to the 9.5 afr I am seeing as it comes on boost....
May also need this one: tau input b activation (engine load)
not sure :\

The 1 is still a multiplier, for that particular group of tables. (The group is later added as part of fuelling corrrection to the final fueling)

You will need to place a zero in the areas where the engine is at operating temperature and in the areas of vacuum/boost that you deem appropriate (plenty of that discussion in the rich dip thread).

By placing a zero in this area of the table it cancels the effect of tau at the specified conditions, thus only a zero is added in the final fuelling calculation, rather than the 1 multiplied by a number of other unspecified tables in the final fueling calculation.

Ahhh yep that makes sense. I will have a play and report back.

There is mention that the 'tau input b activation (engine load)' table is needed for the full effect, does it exist in mine or still undiscovered?

Cheers,

Cam

I haven't disassembled your ROM in IDA, so I'm just relying on pattern recognition with ScoobyRom. The 3-D tables are easy, but 2-D are a little more tricky. Never the less, this looks like the one you're interested in:
Code:
<table name="Tau Input B Activation A" address="c89b4">
   <table address="c8988"/>
</table>

It's applied with rising load/MAP, depending on the ROM and should effectively turn off tau during WOT runs.

The other one is:
Code:
<table name="Tau Input B Activation B" address="c89f8">
   <table address="c89cc"/>
</table>

Which is applied during falling load/MAP, and will not correct your rich-dip issue, but it was there so I grabbed it at the time.

Played with the 3d tables - rich dip gone! Thankyou! The back of my car should be less sooty now!

Have we ever found what these are referring to? Feels like its IPW related?

Glad it's working for you.

Yes the tables influence IPW, adding or subtracting from the final fueling amount, accounting for either condensation or evapouration of fuel from the intake tract.
