It's an 05 Outback (supercharged). ECU 2f220a4706. I guess I figured that part out... the rpm threshold was set to 3900rpm, and the previous tuner had increased the accelerator threshold to 40% so think I had to really get on the throttle hard in order to get it to skip the delay into open loop prior to 3900rpm. I just lowered the RPM limit to 1900rpm and it goes into open loop at that threshold.

Now the issue I am seeing is that I may be close to target AFR at a particular RPM (according to wideband), but then I am super rich at the same MAF voltage at a higher rpm (albeit different load)... that rich seems to be at very light throttle, maybe I am looking too much into it.

For example:
RPM 4000
MAF V: 2.46
Target AFR: 13.55
Wideband AFR: 12.7

RPM 3288
MAF V: 2.46
Target AFR: 13.94
Wideband AFR: 14.4

Is this normal behavior?

that is called RPM Resonance. can be resolved by Engine Load Compensation.
