Another person posted that the CF48D has an operating speed of 2mph.

I want to change the lower speed limit when VVT works, but I can't find the address easily.

help me

I will warn ya on utilizing VVT at idle. Z’s use hydraulic solenoids to control the cams. So at idle, where oil pressure is below 40psi when fully warmed up, it might not produce enough pressure to properly control the cam angles. It’s completely untested, buttttt Ill have some free time tonight to experiment around and see just where the limits are + what real world drawbacks there are. But there’s the potential for the lack of oil pressure to cause the PID control system to lose its mind and go crazy. Another concern is that you’d raise the idle airflow, causing the idle RPM to rise. But a good way to combat this is to close the throttle body more to compensate. It’s the same idea with ignition timing. You can have more idle ignition timing by closing the throttle body more.

thank you for your reply.

I don't want to change the idling throttle in my settings.

There may be various problems, but I would like to lower the lower limit.

It comes on essentially based on VE so you have rpm x cyl fill, if you want it to come in earlier i.e less load it will be more to the left hand side of the map. if you want more earlier then obviously that's the rpm side, but i hope you're logging a few parameters to see what changes each adjustment makes.

I'm very interested in this as I've tried to make an idle chop with the VVT cam table before like those people that tune the mustangs to have that ridiculous chop that just sucks down gas at idle. So I changed the VVT values in the map but it didn't matter how high I set it since it didn't do a thing. I was later told that the VVT table doesn't kick in until your out of idle and/or above a rated speed like 2-5 mph. I never tried the cam lope while the car was rolling as well since I thought the PCM would have a flag to toggle back to the stock "Idle VVT" map when you stick it in neutral that was also said to be in the PCM but hasn't been defined to my knowledge.

Would you think the car would shutoff from lack of pressure on the solenoids if it was that bad or would it just sperg out and send a million codes our way? Worst comes to worse, I could try and source an Oil Accumulator and pre-oil the engine top to bottom pre-startup and see how it likes that. because if I can at least set it to 0mph toggle to adjust intake cam timing then I'd be a happy camper!
