Hello everyone,

I have been browsing this forum for several years. First of all a big thank you for this open source.
Following the installation of the turbo on my e39 523i MS41, I was looking for a way to adjust my engine. As a beginner in the field of management, this forum was essential to me.

Sorry i am french.

My problem is, I think, related to my MAF. it reaches 725 kg/h and 4.98V at the time of the cut if I am throttled at 70% and 3500 rpm.
I specify that I cannot adjust my boost below 0.8 bars because my wastegate is at a minimum.

If I step on the accelerator to be at max 50% TPS, my turbo pressure does not exceed 0.6 bars and I have no cutout.

I have an AFR AEM gauge and am at 11.5 under load.

Is my problem related to my boost coming too early and the ECU struggling to read?

A big thank you and hello from France :D

Sounds like you need to scale/adjust your MAF table to the 1024 or 2048 kg/hr. Under sensor scaling.

Thank you for your answer, I thought about it but I don't want to do anything stupid. :)
In RR ecu editor I cannot access the MAF table, I click on it but nothing is displayed.

Maybe you need Ms41.1/2/3 for that?

I was thinking of putting a resistor on the MAF and redoing the maf board.
Switching to M41.2 scares me :|

Or maybe put a nissan MAF or something else but if I can't modify the MAF table it will be complicated.

I may have forgotten something.

No. He's hitting the maximum voltage for the stock maf. Scaling the table does nothing without changing the hardware.

The stock maf isn't designed for boost. Get one that can read higher airflow.

Thank you ba114 for this information.

For the moment I will go to the simplest, I will mount an external wastegate with a 0.5 bar spring.

With this max pressure it should do it. If my problem persists I will switch to ms41.2 with MAF and maf nissan scaling.

For the moment I am refining my basic injection table, WOT injection and WOT detection.

Hello,

I finally installed the external wastegate and the spring for 0.5 bar. It's much better now.

On the other hand, by making logs, I see that the MAF is at 997mg/stroke at 4000rpm and drops dangerously up to 6200rpm (624mg). :(

This one would be defective or the rise in boost would be too fast?

My "load" axis for the base fuel table is modified to go up to 1024mg in romraider.

new info, I just saw that my IATs are at 17 degrees celcius under full load.

That seems low to me and it is the MAF that gives this info?

Thank you.
