I was looking through a rom and noticed there was 2 different rev limiters. I'm wondering if we can use a button to spoof the ECU into thinking it's in reverse and set the reverse as your desired launch RPM and when your button is depressed it goes back to the normal operation? Sorry if this is stupid. I'm pretty new in all this and just seeing if this is something that may be useful.

You'd need to understand the programing language of the ECU, and be able to work with the ram values.

You also need to somehow activate both 1st and reverse gear at the same time and hope for the best, while initiating an ignition cut pulse at a chosen rpm.

You would also need to be able to limit airflow or torque if boost for example overshot the mark.


A lot of work, when you can just brake boost. Its 100% doable... Can anyone here do it? Maybe 0.1%, will they? Probably not.
