Hi

I tried to dump a friend's CF010 with nisprog v1.0.4, with 7058 kernel but got hit with bad 27 02 Response: General_Error, Requested_SID_securityAccess Error_invalidkey
sid27 problem

I've never had this issue with my own car, and any help on how to tackle this would be appreciated!

Code:
**************** nisprog v1.04-8e3390d+ ****************
interface is now DUMB
Note concerning generic (dumb) interfaces : there are additional
options which can be set with "set dumbopts". By default
"K-line only" and "MAN_BREAK" are set.
nisprog: Type HELP for a list of commands
nisprog: Type SCAN to start ODBII Scan
nisprog: Then use MONITOR to monitor real-time data
nisprog: **** IMPORTANT : this is beta software ! Use at your own risk.
nisprog: **** Remember, "debug all -1" displays all debugging info.
running commands from file nisprog.ini...
interface is now DUMB

port set to: \\.\COM3
dumbopts set to:      72
testerid: using 0xFC
destaddr: using 0x10
Connected to ECU !
ECUID: CF010
Key candidate   dist (smaller is better)
0: 0xEC5B98DE   3
1: 0xEED9A107   3
2: 0x968148AD   15

Using best choice, SID27 key=EC5B98DE. Use "setkeys" to change if required.
L1 debug is 0x8C: READ WRITE DATA
now using 7055.
Using 4116 byte payload, padding with garbage to 4128 (0x01020) bytes.

try "setkeys 0xEED9A107" and if that doesn't work, try "setkeys 0xEED9A107 0xD6A9ED21". That's the keyset Nisrom found. And just so you're aware, your Nisprog log shows that your setdev is set for 7055, rather than 7058. So in your config file, just change it to "setdev 7058". The setkeys goes in your config file as well, before runkernel IIRC! :P

How on earth did I completely miss that?? I could've sworn I commented out the sh7055 kernel when I was trying to connect to the ecu.

Lemme tell ya, it’s VERY easy to miss something small like that! You have no idea how many hours I’ve spent debugging files trying to figure out why they aren’t working just to figure out ONE TINY THING was the only issue

Btw, Nisprog might eventually add in all the necessary information into a database so that the end use doesn’t need to know this stuff. It would just do what it does for keys and automatically fill it out :P But it’s not a guaranteed thing yet. I need to do some personal tests with a test script in MATLAB to see if j can get the desired results.
