Hello Everybody,

first: i wanna go straight to the Problem i have

RR Logger, in the LTV Tab, i cant see my Lambda Adaptations
It says: No data - A/F Adaptation parameter IDs not defined
Picture is attached

funny thing is, i can see the Adaptations in BMW Inpa?

Backstory:
i finally got around to Engine swap my 1996 523i E39 to M52B28 and putting on a M50 Manifold.
Got the Engine from a E38 728i (Busted, without Papers) and succesfully read the e38 ECU and flashed onto my e39 because both of them are MS41.0 and i wanted a somewhat right Map for the 3h Mountain drive back home from the Mechanik after the swap

Now i want to tune the fueling the proper way but i cant seem to get RR Logger to log my Adaptations?
i also realized that i have less Parameters to log than seen on any Yt Video for tuning e36 M52 Engines

What i tried:
i used MS41 ECU Portal to get RR and the definition files
i tried manually setting up RR with definition Files from the Forum
i tried an older RR Versin (V0.7.2 NOV11 2020)
i wanted to try tuner pro but they don´t have definition Files for Ms41.0 (Or i couldn´t find them, didn´t want to use something else than RR but got kinda frustrated)
i don´t have any DTCs and all Analog Values i can see in INPA seem to be working as intended.
i tried a Second OBD to USB Cable with a Switch (Round OBD Port Adapter Cable is bridged to enable Read and Write to ECU via Quickflash)
i even went as far as reinstalling Windows on my Laptop

Further i have noticed that the Values seen in Quickflash also doesn´t seem to be right

Can Anybody help me?
i can´t find anything online and seem to be the only One with this Problem (or i can´t use the Search Funktion right)
Thanks in Advance

It's not a function of the engine, cable, laptop, etc., but of the ECU you are using. These would need to be defined for your ECU ID but they are not.
You need ECU addresses for these Logger parameters for 1432401
E19("E19"), // Lambda Additive Adaptation - Bank 1
E20("E20"), // Lambda Additive Adaptation - Bank 2
E21("E21"), // Lambda Multiplicative Adaptation - Bank 1
E22("E22"), // Lambda Multiplicative Adaptation - Bank 2

I was able to look them up. You need to added these to the Logger definition file.
E19_TI_AD_ADD_1_word_ED66 0000ED66
E20_TI_AD_ADD_2_word_EDA0 0000EDA0
E21_LTFT_bank1_word_ED6E 0000ED6E
E22_LTFT_bank2_word_EDA8 0000EDA8

Search the Logger XML file (with a text editor) for:
Code:
<address>0x0000ED66</address>

On the line above it you will see: <ecu id="1429861">
Add your ECU ID to this line so it reads:
<ecu id="1429861,1432401">

Do the same edit for each address:
<address>0x0000EDA0</address>
<address>0x0000ED6E</address>
<address>0x0000EDA8</address>

Save the file and restart RomRaider Logger and LTV should now display values.

Thanks, i was getting really frustrated and converted to MS41.2 in the meantime so i can adjust fueling so my Engine doesn´t run too lean.

But i will convert back to my Stock ECU file and try out your suggestion, i don´t like that Inpa only works if i select e36 US Version, seems kinda jank to me on a E39

Is there any way to add the definitions for my ECU in a way that it doesn`t slow down communication like on MS41.2?

Definitions and communications protocol are optimized to run as fast as the ECU will allow for logging externally.

This is not something you normally have to do. It had just not been defined for this DME version. The next logger definition will have this info in it.

I have the Same problem, excuse me my english is not so good.
Is there are ready Definition File which i can download? Including this problem fixing?
I also have the Problem that in a Lot of maps i dont know If the load values are correct. Is there also maybe a Definition File which is prepareted for M52B25 with m50 manifold and 7000rpm? So that i only can modify the ignition and fuel map...
This would be great.

Not yet, so you will need to do this:
