Tried to read with other def. but get "interface closed" after reading the id.
Guess i need the correct def file?

What you can try is to read it with FastECU. https://github.com/miikasyvanen/FastECUBeta.2 from releases, select sub_ecu_hitachi_m32r_(kline/can) protocol and try to read with it.

ok thank you MiikaS, then can EcuFlash not write the new ROM to Hitachi?
Seem like the 2.0R JDM here in Sweden is very special, the 2.5i is no problem to flash.

Yes, EcuFlash won't read or write Hitachi m32r ECUs. FastECU won't write it yet, I need to test writing also first so I can release new version that will write it.
