Hitachi ECU, I don't think EcuFlash will read that. What you can try is to read it with FastECU.

https://github.com/miikasyvanen/FastECU

Beta.2 from releases, select sub_ecu_hitachi_m32r_(kline/can) protocol and try to read with it.

ok thank you MiikaS, then can EcuFlash not write the new ROM to Hitachi?
Seem like the 2.0R JDM here in Sweden is very special, the 2.5i is no problem to flash.

Yes, EcuFlash won't read or write Hitachi m32r ECUs. FastECU won't write it yet, I need to test writing also first so I can release new version that will write it.

Well, just tested in a bench and writing works also. So next beta will include Hitachi M32R K-Line and CAN read/write/checksums.

Do you also have a def file for the 2.0R 2007 ECU?
I will try to read the ECU this week, and see if it is useable.
:)

Yes I have some with quite basic maps for now. Need to sort them out and create a github repo for them.

It just take a little time as I haven't been able to do almost anything in a week, fewer and all s*** has been on :?
