I just wanted to post up that the MAF scaler seems to work now for me on 16-bit.

One thing that was apparently tripping me up were the default recording criteria. The IAT defaults are in C, but if your IAT is set to F in the "data" tab, F will be used on the MAF scaler. Since the range was 25-35 C by default, I wasn't getting any data (it's mid 50's F here right now). By changing the recording range to something more appropriate (40-100 F), the MAF scaler began working for me.

I have a recent LM-1 (purchased in November), I will try it out when I have an opportunity.

Thanks again for all of the hard work!!

Yes, default values assume Celsius is being used (welcome to the 21st century america! :P ) but the actual units being used for the filter will depend on the unit selected on the other tabs (data, graph, dash) which for you guys is most likely F for the temps. I may add some logic around the default values to take this into account.

SO I got the MAF to work on my 16bit. I logged it all the way home from work (2hrs).. I stopped the recording, and hit the Interpolation button, and it did!

I made sure I had my ROM open in Romraider..

I hit the "Update MAF" button and whammo.. Error.

I haven't closed the RomRaider, yet, so this is still open on my computer.

Any ideas?

Oh, and I never did get a reading on the Fuel Injector tab, when I tried it, prior to the MAF tab..

I'm happy to report that the MAF tool is working for me as well ('04 USDM WRX, A4TF520F). It did interpolate but I didn't try applying it to the ROM. I'll try to check that later tonight or tomorrow.

My work has blocked imageshack so can't see the image. What is the error? Post up your romraider.log and romraider_stdout.log

"MAF sensor scaling table not found" is all the error says.

The romraider.log is 15MB, and the romraider_stdout.log is 423MB

Assuming you started the logger from within RomRaider and the correct rom was open and selected in the editor before you hit the 'apply' button, it's strange that was the error you got.

give this a go:

- delete the two log files,
- open romraider (via run.bat),
- open your rom and its maf sensor scaling table,
- open the logger from the menu,
- record a little bit of maf data at idle (make sure the filter parameters won't filter all the data),
- interpolate and try to apply the changes again
- close everything and post up the logs (hopefully they won't be so big this time!).

That's exactly how i did it.. Fired up Romraider (run.bat), loaded RomRaider and opened the MAF table, fired off logger (from within RR), etc..

I'll do that on me smoke break, in a few mins, hopefully..

Anyone else with a 16bit ecu had a chance to test the maf tab and applying the changes to a rom? I'm not sure I can work it out until I get access to a 16bit ecu myself. This Saturday hopefully.

First post updated with a new release, rev028. It contains rewritten protocol handling for the lc-1 and lm-1. It's late, I'm tired, so I may have screwed something up, but give it a go anyway....

I was able to use the MAF tool rev025 this morning with no problems. 1.5 hrs of data, interpolated and it applied it to my MAF scale without any errors.

16bit '04 USDM WRX A4TF520F

I have attached my log files in case they may be of any use.

Kascade, have you had a chance to look at making the modal correction dot light up a different color yet?

no, not yet. that isn't as easy as it sounds.

That's good news! Could you try again with the rev028 release just to confirm?
