Things are still moving on the devlopment front. I had an itch this weekend that I needed to scratch and it was around making the dash tab more car pc friendly and sorting out some ui issues in general.

It's still in development but the attached image shows some of the progress made so far. The aim was to provide multiple gauge styles including a dial gauge version. I have so far created 3 additional versions. A smaller version of the current style, a 'no-frills' style, and a dial gauge for some fun. I'll probably also create a larger version of the current style as well. Currently you can switch styles via a shortcut key only (F12) but I'm guessing the car pc guys with touchscreens will need an easily accessible button or something. Note that each style is applied in an all or nothing approach, you can't customise each individual parameter to a different style - I have no plans to change this.

I've also added another shortcut key (F11) to collapse and enlarge the left parameter list to maximise screen space. This applies to the data, graph and dash tabs. Touch screen guys will probably want a ui control for this as well.

Other improvements include being able to scroll the dash tab now which is handy on lower res screens (finally!).

Stay tuned! :D

That looks fantastic kascade, thanks for continuing to work on the project.

A day with a new RomRaider release is always a good day.

Thanks!

I prototyped that with the MAF and Injector tabs, but without the hotkey to minimize/restore. That's a nice improvement. I haven't had as much time to play with car stuff as I'd have liked, although I did get some motorcycle stuff taken care of. No RomRaider for the bike, but I got a Powercommander installed. That should take it from scary to terrifying.

I'll probably drive to work tomorrow, so will take a look at your latest stuff.

Any news on the missing y-axis labels for 3d tables?

Where can this release be downloaded from? The link in the FAQ doesn't seem to work anymore.

I think Kascade was just updating what he's been working on for the next release, so its not yet available.

He hasn't posted any new builds, but has been updating the source. It is available in source form though, so if you're willing to build it yourself, you can try it. It's not hard, but does take a little time to set up.

I tried this morning and it didn't work correctly, but didn't have time to diagnose the trouble, so I left the car behind and took the motorcycle to work. The ECUEditor will launch, but the logger doesn't. Nothing happens. I'll dig into it further tonight.

some jars have been updated so you may need to add/update them on your classpath. other than that it should work, but i'll have a look tonight as well. so far i've only be launching the logger directly from the ide.

I thought that might be it, but was in a hurry. I build RomRaider.jar on my workstation and transferred it to my laptop. I need to set up the laptop so I can build directly there. Perhaps I'll do that tonight. I knew there was a reason I got that 32GB flash drive.
