Dwell tables as well... No, this will just be a bug fix update only - my last update for OS. Eventually, whoever wants to take over the defs can add in any new development after I'm gone and take over the update process.

The idle tables aren't really new development, they are the same thing that the other 16bit ROMs have. If you felt ok with adding them I don't think it would be a bad idea. Yours defs though, so your choice Andy

Can somone do me a favor today?
Go out and log your car at idle. Log 4 things: Manifold Absolute Pressure (direct) Injector Latency RPM Battery voltage
Try logging this @ a SOLID RPM for me, say 1500 and as solid as you can get it.
I just found something interesting and I need this log to confirm it.
ALSO I need the person to also send me or post up the set injector latency table.

After running with LC set for a few days I noticed, what I THINK, the FBKC is disabled when LC is "enabled" or set.
I could not get my car to knock when LC was set, but after disabling it, was able to force a bit of knock. I think Andy did or is looking into it. I do believe the logic says nothing about FBKC being disabled, but again something I noticed when it was set.
-Jerod With mine set to mode byte 136 I have working LC, AL and FBKC. I have logged FBKC and seen it pull timing. Does that help?

Jerod helped me test some fixes for the CEL issues today. I was able to eliminate all the codes, but the CEL remained on. Which means it is not due to a code being set, but some other issue. It could be something like the check engine light using a different pin on the JDM ECU as compared to the USDM. Or some other unknown logic that causes a constant CEL. I don't have anymore time to mess with it, however.

I'd do it today, but it's rain and ice here, they just salted the roads and I don't want to take the car out in salt. If I let it sit and idle in the garage for a half hour to warm up, it'd piss the neighbors off, it's super loud. I should be able to do it tomorrow if nobody else has.

FWIW when I was running this ROM on my car (2002 ADM STi) the CEL turned off after a few minutes of driving. After logging a little bit to try and work out what was going on, it seemed to me that as soon as my AVCS started to work (after startup and/or after a new flash) the CEL would turn off. Leslie

I just did a lot of searching wiring diagrams. USDM, JDM, ADM, EDM all use B137 pin 15 for the CEL. It's something in the ECU. Is it possible to set up the ROM to just turn off the CEL all the time? It won't be functional, but at least off.

I just don't have the free time to mess with it (or much of anything these days with my new job). I was hoping permanently disabling the DTCs beyond the traditional means, which has worked in every other case (TGVs being one), would work, but, instead it will take some more digging to determine the issue. Andy/Jerod are making good progress in learning and discovering new things, so I'll leave it to them to continue on. Really, though, the ultimate solution would be to port the SD code to the USDM ROMs. That wouldn't be overly difficult if you are careful and would solve all these issues (CEL, flashing 04/05 WRX, etc). LC/per gear comps would also be easy to add. Anti-lag would be the most difficult, but not impossible.

I can't wait for the day when I can call that easy I will be getting an o scope on Monday night to test the dwell times. So sometime Tuesday I imagine I will release the tables for everyone. They will probably go up in a seperate thread with a seperate file(which I will include here too) since I have the table for every 16bit rom that was hosted on scoobypedia. There are still some roms that I don't have as they weren't hosted, but those people can send me their individual roms and I will add support. Ill give you guys a link after I confirm what jerod has already made good power playing with Andy

Plenty of guys have tried to start this stuff in the past, some with good backgrounds, and all usually end up flaking out in a few weeks because they don't have the patience or the passion to do it. So, just keep at it!

Thanks Bill! I have no intention of giving up. I just wish that I spent the time when I was still in school to learn the basics. It would make learning all of this much easier Andy
