Fine tuned this rom, WGDC prob still needs some work but its very smooth as is.

NOTE:
Remember this is for a Cosworth CAI, if you have a stock or another air intake you can use this tune it will run fine just make sure you change the Maf Sensor Scaling table to stock or to suit your intake.

I have maf scalings for a few of the major brands, if you need them let me know.

Ive got no other mods yet apart from that K&N air filter you had too. Im planning on getting a CIA and new intercooler, i actually have a greddy front mount my friend gave me but dont have any of the piping or connections and will have to remove my front bumper ect.. so i dunno.

And yeah ive done abit of reading up on the AVCS and all clear now, i was abit confused with something else ive read. I bought a awsome book about turbos and tuning them, however there is alot of stuff that is specific to this car that im still yet to learn.

Also they couldnt put my heat shield back on :| so i bought some insuation stuff of ebay however ive read that putting it directly on the turbo which will keep heat in and increase power but obviously reduce the life of the turbo if not allowed to cool so either need to come up with another solution or get a turbo timer.

Heat shield only needs the spot welds drilled out, then it bolts back on if the top mounting flange is still in place on the turbo flange etc ;)

Fine Learning Knock Correction is only active to 2.7g/rev yet I assume you are seeing higher load than that?

Advance Multiplier Initial is also on 0.5, probably safe o lift to 1.000 :)

I like the car to "earn" its aim it gives the afr correction a chance to learn.

The fine knock I thought continued after the last setting, I'll check it out and fix it.

Nice spot. The car is running over 3g/sec max load. So should have fixed it sooner if it's disabled. I don't have my laptop it's in the car, I'll fix and repost.

If the 32bit ecu is anything like my 16bit the iam value can go from 8/12 to 16 (or in your case 0.5/0.75 to 1) in the space of 2 mins brisk driving. I add the IAM block onto the logger purely for nosiness and it changes rather fast although it could be down to a very safe timing mapping, I wonder if it would be slower if the timings were closer to the edge?

By any chance do you have the MAF scalings for a Cobb SF intake?

Oh dam, Nice! What made you go with that and not the VF52?
Also are you installing it yourself, should post some pics and let us know how that goes.
Newest additions for me are a K&N Thypoon 69 intake. It sits in the side gaurd with a heat shield. Ive also cut abit of the plastic out under that side gaurd to scoop air into that intake.
It sounds pretty sick can hear the BOV now and feels pretty responsive. I was driving around the other day and an even match with a evo w exhaust im not sure what other mods or tuning he has but thats still pretty impressive. Also beat my mates APR stage 2 golf. So im looking forward to how much power a bigger turbo will bring.

Are you still running the stock intercooler? I just purchased a Penrrin top mount off ebay for about 500. I was looking at a front mount but its to much of a pain to install and i was reading some guys post on how its bad for 1/4 mile times so i figured im not looking for pure power numbers but drive ability.
Ill post a pic of the new IC and let you know how it goes.

I have a no name aftermarket tmic is massive an just fits. Made a good increase in power in 3rd gear or higher.

Turbo was half price of vf 52 and its more powerful and the most you can rin on stock injectors. I'm paying for someone to install it but doing all the tuning myself.

so I installed the new intercooler. I'm abit disappointed as its not that much bigger. its really thick but the surface area isn't too much bigger. should have gone with nouther one I saw. anyway I did acouple logs and its feeling really sluggish and not hitting target boost. how do I retune for the bigger intercooler. just add more wgdc? should I increase the max and initial or just the max?

sorry I haven't looked on here for a while, are you a member of rexnet? if not join up my username is dennism. (we are having a dyno day on September 15th so maybe you can come?)

With my TMIC the WGDC and etc didn't need to be changed, What TMIC did u get and what other mods do you have? I'll make up a rom for you if you still need it.

Send me a log of rpm, throttle opening angle, vechile speed, manifold pressure, and primary wastegate and do some 3rd gear pulls from 2000rpm to 6500rpm.

Also send me the rom you are using as well so i can make the changes to it.

new turbo is awesome i'm loving it. There is a lot of power everywhere about 3200rpm, below that there is a little lag but you never notice unless you are in the wrong gear and try to punch it. It pulls very hard all the way to rev limiter now and keeps getting harder as the revs climb.

I would get a Brand name turbo though with proper ball bearings, as they spool faster (the kando uses journal bearings). I have seen dyno charts of AVO td05 18G equivs and other brand names and they seem to spool about 100rpm quicker than the Kando. Also go for the 7cm, i got the 8cm and there is no point becasue you run out of injector duty cycle way before you can use full potential of the turbo up high. Even if you put bigger injectors i don't think you would utlize the benifits of the 8cm.

I put in on Springy's dyno when it had a leak (throttle body hose was not fully on) and i got 173KW, it was only running 14.5psi after 6000rpm then and it runs close to 17PSI after 6000rpm now and it was rich because of the leak as well, so probably about 200KW now.

I'll send you a PM when i'm at home and have my laptop about the rom. What tune you running at the moment, TP?

is your cosworth intake scaling the same for K&N??

also, are you running stock injectors on your new turbo? what kind of duty cycles are you seeing at full boost?
