Just want to say thank you. I've been using this map for a couple of years now and it has been great. I hardly had to change a thing for near perfect results.

Me too :) Gabe's map has done my car very well since it was released.

Anyone who's used one of your map's appreciates your hard work Gabe.

Quick newbie question...

There are no good stg 1 maps for 04 US STIs. What would be needed to make this map work on an 04? I know it won't flash directly, so the key info will need to be appended to an existing 04 ROM. What else?

You can try some values from an 05-06 sti and copy the changed changed tables, but you would have to do some re-sizing/interpolation on some of the tables. The 07 is too unique rom wise.

Thanks for your hard work, gabedude. ;)

Do you have any plans to release SD version of this map please?
I bought a car with Turbosmart BOV and as I found out, speed density mod might help to cure "running rich" issue.

Also, if I have A2UJ000J, should I flash stock A2UG000J first and then your ROM?

A2UJ000J was the "burst of acceleration" or "hesitation fix" update. A slight slope was added under "certain conditions" where the AFR would start to ramp down from stoich to ~12.8:1 during the huge 3/4 second full boost 1 Lambda (14.7:1) AFR and then the jump to 10.7-11.1:1 making the car hard to drive. I never saw the point in changing to the newer compiled code because I fixed it in the tables anyway.

As far as SD, no. My car has been far from stock or stage 1 status for a long time and follows no standard power upgrade path. I plan on using it, but also have been gravitating to some of the more advanced EM systems than Cobb offers or open source does. For just a few hundred more dollars of the cost of an AP, you can get so much more resolution on tables (crazy resolution like 128/128 on some or even 256/256 on others), autotune, individual cylinder tuning (via EGT or Lambda sensor), closed loop all the time, and all the other frills offered from the limited stock ECU. A monkey can tune with these systems and get more power than any "calibrator" or "tuner" could. Well, you still want to know some basics like your compressor mapping (peak boost, boost to taper to) and basic knowledge of LBT vs RBT... But besides the added compressor knowledge, if you know how to read a lawnmower sparkplug, a monkey could use these systems. The price point is falling so fast on Pro systems, it is a no brainer.

OK, Gabe. All clear.
I ordered Forge Motorsport BPV to replace that crazy noisy Turbosmart BOV. That will sort out my need for Speed Density. :)
Once installed, I will reflash with your map and post the results.

Thanks for explanation, I don't need any advanced EM system so far. My plan is to keep the car stock as much as I could. ;)

Forge makes good products. I use their WG actuator, but have have no experience with their BPV. I am sure it is a good one though. I really like the TXS RFL-H BPV. With no added washers, it is 100% recirculating and will hold the 26.5 PSI I peak at with no washers added. I have the ability to add washers if I want to vent any to open air. TurboXS also makes a plain recirculating RFL BPV. Costs the same. I have the one that has the connection for their FMIC as I m running the XS Power knockoff. I will be switching to water cooled IC soon as I do eventually heat soak and lose some power on long spirited drives where I am in boost most often. You shouldn't have any of those worries though on the Stage 1. Glad you enjoy the map. Our cars become money pits once you swap out the stock turbo. :)

No, USA gets completely different ROM code than the EU STI due to strict California emissions. Your EU STI does not have many extra dynamic tables. You could copy and paste the relative tables however as I disabled the emissions tables in this ROM.

Make sure to disconnect the flash connectors before you start the car after flashing. Also, logging too many parameters can cause this.

Hi!

I have potencial customers that owns STI 2007, DBW, 2.5 liters, and I haven´t been able to flash and pull the map from the ECU

I tried two operating systems, two computers, the tactrix 2.0 and 1.3 (I know it doesn´t work already) and nothing happens

I found the green connectors so I plug them each other (behing the stearing wheel) and I didn´t get the car communicate to let me pull the OEM map..

Am I missing something? I don´t understand why I can´t pull the map out

Regards

Alex

Im still having no access with Tactrix 2.0 to this cars, I have tried many things and not succesful.

Do someone has a video or logs that can share during reflash to check what could be doing wrong?

I even tried earlier software, the 1.39 around and same trouble!

Regards
