Looks a little bit similar Subaru diesel roms!

Having trouble finding the Ssmbase address or equivalent.

I've attached a raw definition with native scaling.

Hey Mate,
Yep sure is! I haven't purchased the car yet but thought I'd get a head start on it.

There's sub_54944 which seems to send out a bunch of strings via CAN0.
I think the primary CAL ID info is at about 0x6000
So this vehicle is a 2005 or 2006 ?
20050415

Are you reading info via CAN or k-line?

Maybe follow the subs in the tables between 0x00080038 - 0x000800A4

I believe the calid id is E20KU4C @ 6000 and 80000

Its from a 2006.

I've found a routine that uses the calid and this message OBD_YD25 Ver.1.10r1 it also led me to this

Each of these locations converts and returns a parameter, still not sure how to id each parameter?

I believe the owner pulled the rom by opening the ecu and soldering directly to the board not real sure how he did it I'll have to ask.

OK so you haven't actually tried to connect to the ECU via the ODB port...
If he read direct from the PCB then he most likely used the AUD interface and the Piasini Serial Suite.

BTW, the IDC script is not going to id all the tables correctly as this ROM uses mostly float data and some word data, but the LUT that points to them is of slightly different format than what we normally see in a Subaru ROM, so the script would need to be modified to account for that difference.

No unfortunately I don't own this car yet I plan to buy one soon though.

Yes the owner doesn't have a tactrix so hopefully when I can get my hands a navara I can get it to work?

Thanks for pointing that out might be why I had issues figuring out the scaling on the pressure related tables.

I'm sorry but I fail to see the difference, can you please explain what I need to change?

It won't be easy to explain here, but have a look at this post to start:
viewtopic.php?t=6303&start=3
beginning at "Layout of a 2D table in memory (32-bit)".
What is most important is the "data_bits" indicator. The script only tries to test for a set of indicators that we see in Subaru ROMs. You may need to test for and then handle a data_bits indicator other than what the script currently looks for.

For 2D-map, try ScoobyROM, works perfect..

Reading the dump works with PIASINI ( China clone), wirting also or with SHBootMode FTD.

Diagnosic should be Nissan specific, but maybe OBD-II will give you a first overview, if software is simular to E4 diesel

Nissan diagnostics provides internal testing and after that test results are interpreted as OBDII codes.

That means cancelling OBDII codes in convert\interpretation table you may probably not able to switch off CEL.

Thanks Guys,

The most part the script works well just a few tables need to be adjust manually, but the script still saves tons of work.

Piasini looks good, do you think it would work through the OBD port or would I have open the ecu case each time?

Sounds like I'll never get full functionality like with Subaru roms but at least I wont have to buy an over priced chip/resister box.

At the moment I'm stuck with interpreting the PIDS I have found a list in code that references locations, fetches data and converts it and returns. There's a pic of it above! At first I thought the number above each location corresponded to each standard PID unfortunately this doesn't seem to be the case unless I'm missing something.

Do you think it would be possible to log ram addresses directly like Subaru?

Got your mail/messages. Thanks for starting looking into it!
Am i the owner you speak of or do a friend have exact same as mine? :)
Glad to get something happen with this nasty tractor.

In my case i dont have a Piasini, used Parallax Proto for AUD reading.
Works with USB nano for a few $ also. Piasini clone is bad quality and can be done with cheap cables...
Write with FDT and USB-TTL 5V cable as mentioned above.

Logging on EOBD 14230-4 K-Line is no problem, CAN is (11-Bit/500kb??) i think.
Proprietary protocol though. If any cable is needed for OBD flashing testing i gladly get it.
Got a spare ECU also so no worries with testing. (Just need to clone immo eeprom).

I will try and search for the MCU pinouts you asked for in PM this week! Get back to you ASAP!
Little hard visully but will do my best, pictures here:
http://pvtech-forum.hostingsiteforfree. ... 3-t11.html
PCB and Connector pinouts i have so far is attached.

Can you send some pictures of the ECU ?

First look of on-bench wireing shows simularies between my E4-Subaru Diesel ECU.
AUD-Inters and Controler also looks the same.

Maybe the Hardware of Nissan and Subaru ist compleatly the same...

This is Denso AUD\Bootmode pin layout.
Bootmode pins are mirrored against MY02-MY12 Subaru Denso.
