QWhat is openecu software? Is this RomRaider?
The openecu “project” was unofficially started by a group of Subaru enthusiasts looking to tune their own cars. Once a method was found to read and flash the ecu image, development began on software, such as RomRaider, to allow the tuning of rom images. Openecu simply refers to the goal of keeping the software open source (programming code is avaliable to the public) as well as free to its users. While the different types of software available are often developed independently, information is still shared among others as development continues. Learn more at the openecu forums:
