I'm located in Houston and I've installed and fully wired in a JDM EJ20x with the dual AVCS into a non-immo 07 Impreza and am looking into overcoming the immobilizer as opposed to implementing one from scratch in a non-immo car. I'm needing information on either (1) disabling the immo in the ECU flash or (2) Since the ECU communicates with the BIU over a CAN Bus network for disabling immobilizer, and having already extracted the immo key codes off of the 93C56 IC as well as a CAN emulator readily available, was trying to figure out if I anyone here could assist me with the command sent to the ECU over the CAN network to disable the immo unit inside the ECU with the correct key codes? I also have another ECU from a non-immo Legacy but its the naturally aspirated version 2.5L (unsure of AVCS ATM). Any chance of utilizing this to my advantage? Any guidance appreciated.

What ECU are you using? Did it come with the immobilizer from the same car?

I'm pretty sure the best fix here is to use a matching ECU + immobilizer + keys. If you can't get the keys, I've heard there's a way to pair new keys with an existing ECU+immobilizer, but I don't know the details.

if the ECU is from a 2008+ car you may need the clocks as well as I think they are keyed to the rest of the immobiliser system - best bet will be to continue to rewire the car with the transplanted parts or switch to an aftermarket ECU like a link G4+/Syvecs.
