Hi folks,

I can not establish connection via both 2.0 genuine and clone (gold pin) tactrix cables. Would appreciate your support.

Error sending init: Parameter portName must not be null or empty

Do I need to create a virtual com port?

Also, whenever I try to do a fresh RR install, I notice that uninstaller doesn't function, new installation may create desktop shortcuts or not. Following the installation, my definitions are still there as if iti s not a clean install.

What am I missing here?

System is win 10 64bit. RR and JRE 32 bit. Open port 2.0 64 bit drivers.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Still looking for a solution :(

Applied some changes to driver directories and reg edit. tested another cable but nothing new.

- Found J2534 Vendor: Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 | Library:C: \J2534\op20pt32.dll
Trying new J2534/IS09141 connection: Tactrix OpenPort 2.0
J2534 Version => firmware: 1.17.4877, dll: 1.02.4870 Feb 3 2017 23:36:05, api: 04.04
J2534/IS09141 set connection properties: bits=8, parity=0
J2534/IS09141 success: deviceId:1, channelId:3, msgId: 0
J2534/IS09141 connection initialised
J2534/IS09141 stopped message filter:0
J2534/IS09141 disconnected channel:3
J2534/IS09141 closed connection to device:1
Error sending init: SSM
Trying new J2534/IS09141 connection: Tactrix Inc. - OpenPort 2.0 J2534 ISO/CAN/VPW/PWM
J2534 Version = Firmware: 1.17.4877, dll: 1.02.4870 Feb 3 2017 23:36:05, api: 04.04
J2534/IS09141 set connection properties: bits=8, parity=0
J2534/IS09141 success: deviceId:1, channelId:3, msgId:0
J2534/IS09141 connection initialised
J2534/IS09141 stopped message filter:0
J2534/IS09141 disconnected channel:3
J2534/IS09141 closed connection to device:1
Error sending init: SSM
Trying new J2534/IS09141 connection: Windows J2534 OP2 WinUSB
J2534 Version => Firmware: 1.17.4877, dll: 1.02.4870 Feb 3 2017 23:36:05, api: 04.04
J2534/IS09141 set connection properties: bits=8, parity=0

Tested with all protocol options available in v370 definitions file and carberry logger definition. What could be the culprit here?

Thx!

no you dont need to create a com port, but try removing all your ecuflash settings and install folder then installing again the latest version from their website.

are you able to log the car at all to confirm there's nothing unusual about it?

Hi thanks for reply!

I tried removing ecuflash entirely and even anything related with it found in registry.

I can easily log the car using ECUedit logger and scanner devices can establish connection too.
